LEGAL INFORMATION…

Participants of the International Trainee Network’s programs enter the United States on a J-1 or H-2B visa and are totally legal to train or work for an American company.

When candidates are in the United States under a J-1 or H-2B Visa, they should always have the following in their possession:

  • Passport, with the J-1 or H-2B visa stamped.
  • The copy of your DS-2019 form. (This is proof of sponsorship for a J-1 visa; your J-1 visa is invalid without it. Do not lose it. Keep it in your passport at all times)
  • The I-94 departure card, attached to your passport by the immigration officer upon entry, which shows the last day you may be in the United States on your J-1 or H-2B visa.
